Arjunan Kadhali is another love story but as the directors claim always, it will be love theme shot in different angle. The movie is directed by Parthi Basker, son of Ilayaraja’s brother and late producer Bhaskar. Hero Jai and music director Srikanth Deva are also related (In-laws) to director Parthi Basker. Sivasakthi Pandian a renowned producer produces this movie. Muniyandi Vilangiyal moonramandu fame actress Poorna dons the lead lady role as Arjunan Kadhali. The crux of the movie is love and the lovers who strive hard to succeed against the orthodox old generation. Of course the movie portrays the impact of generation gap upon love and lovers. Presumably people have different opinion about love and lovers. In here the story also deals with the influence love on basic pillar of relationships. Does love happens at first sight or not? Will the lovers adhere to their decisions against parents? How will they face crisis when people of their own society turn their back on them all because of love? Watch the movie; untie the answers to all these questions. Parthi says “When I came out with this script I can only imagine Jai as the protagonist. The must fit to do the role of a rustic man and I am well aware of the perfect character role done by him in Subramaniyapuram. When I was continuing my search for an appropriate heroine, Poorna happen to visit the shooting spot. Believing on my intuition I signed as the heroine and she is fabulous”.
