The Norway Film festival saw some of the well-acclaimed films being screened. Few Tamil films were screened at the fest.
In a bid to promote Tamil cinema globally, Dhananjayan of Moser Baer have associated with Norway-based Tamil associations led by Vaseeharan Sivalingam’s VN Music Dreams and they have conducted this festival from February 6 to 9 at Oslo.
The Tamil films which were selected for screening at the festival include Peraanmai, Subramaniapuram, Yogi,Pokkisham,Pasanga,Nandalala, Nadodigal, Anjathey, Ee, Poo, Raman Thediya Seethai and Mayandi Kudumbathaar.
Awards in different categories for the screened films were announced.
Nandalala got the first place voted by independent Tamils and Norwegians.
Peraanmai bagged the second place, Nadodigal- Third, Subramaniapuram – fourth and 1999 a Canadian based tamil movie bagged the fifth palce.
Eminent directors like Sasikumar,S.P Jhananathan,Samudrakkani, Myskkin and many others were seen participating at the fest.
It’s nice to hear that our very own Tamil movies are getting global recognition.
