Directed by Vijay and produced by Kalpathi Agoram for AGS entertainment the film is a must watch film as it takes us on a memory trip down the lane during 1940’s.
The film has Arya playing the character of Dhobi with Amy Jackson playing the lady lead. She plays the daughter of the governor. The dhobi falls in love with Amy when the country is declared Independent. What happens next is explained in a slow yet romantic mood.
A special mention has to be made for the art director and cinematographer who have taken extra pains to bring in the authenticity of the period from 1945 to 1947 along with director Vijay. We already have only limited films taking us through the pre independent period and sure Madarasapattinam will also certainly join the list.
It is a good effort by director Vijay.
