Variety Awards has created a niche for itself over the period of years for it genuine recognition for one and all in the Industry. It recognizes even the latest hero, heroine and the technician involved in the film if they have convinced the audience.
The best new comer hero award was bagged by Mahesh of Angadi theru and Vimal of Pasanga. The best heroine was Anjali of Angadi Theru, A.Venkatesh was the best villain, The best actor was Vikram, dhansika was recognized for her wonderful performance in Manja Velu. The best director award went to Vasantha balan and the best film award went to Ayngaran International for Angadi theru.
