Such was a reach for his films. He started career with stage plays and it was MGR who had gave him a chance to write dialogues for his film Deiva Thai. He was the person who brought in two icons to the Tamil industry namely Kamalahasan and Rajinikanth. His last directorial venture was POI in the year 2006. Due to his age he could not direct films but he is enjoying each and every moment of his life seeing the stupendous growth of his adopted sons Kamal and Rajini.
Recently the Kerala government honored Kamal for his completion of 50 years in the industry. He has thanked the organizing committee for their effort and has sent a detailed letter. It is not a letter it’s his mind, heart, his love and pride of both Kamal and Rajini. Each and every word from this letter reveals the happiness which is in him on seeing their growth. With his experience and knowledge at this age he owes everything to Kamal. We all should be proud that we got a chance to enjoy, relish such a wonderful bonding between all 3.
