The film titled '1977' is directed by Dinesh Kumar. When the story was narrated to Sarathkumar he immediately reported dinesh that he would like to produce the movie under his banner. The reason behind his in-no-time response is the big budget involved in making this movie. There are three heroines involved in this film namely Farzana, Namitha and Jaya Sudha sharing screen space with Sarath. Sarath will play dual role as father and son in this film. The previous films where Sarath played dual roles were 'Suryavansam' and 'Natpukaga' and both these films were huge crowd pullers and grossed well at the box office. Apart from donning a double role, Sarath will also be seen appearing in six different makeovers for this film. According to Sarath ‘1977′ is an action-packed movie with a strong message for the society. ‘I was impressed when I heard the storyline and readily agreed to do the movie’ he said.
