His earlier movie "Kaanal Neer" was a flop and in "Nayagan" he looks far more mature and his role is tailor-made. Inspired by the Hollywood blockbuster "Cellular", Director Saravana Sakthi has the right mix of all the essential ingredients to make the film a good entertainer.Compared with some of the police stories of recent times, "Nayagan" is more thoughtfully packaged. It is sure to go down well with the audience.
Guru (J.K. Ritheesh) is a tough encounter cop who believes in instant justice. Supported by his superior officer (Radha Ravi), he fights to stop trafficking in drugs and girls by a gang of big bad guys. The film begins with scary scenes of dead bodies floating in the underground sewer lines.
