Raghuvaran pays Indian cricketers to lose the match so he can bet on the Pakistan team to make a lot of money. One day Raghuvaran's daughter Simran was sad that India never wins any matches so Raghuvaran just for one match lets India win. One time India loses and a small boy commits suicide seeing this Raju Sundaram works hard to become a cricket player and make India win for once. He is stopped by Raghuvaran but wins and becomes a cricket player. Raju Sundaram goes to Pakistan to win but is stopped by Raghuvaran but he is killed by his own daughter Simran. Eventually India wins but Simran goes to jail. She comes out and is reunited with Raju Sundaram.

Vijay (Kamal Haasan) is the commander of an anti-terrorist squad. He gets engaged to Tejaswini (Raveena Tandon) who is pregnant with their child. Vijay's brother Nandu (also played by Haasan) is psychoman and is in a mental asylum. Vijay takes Tejaswini to the asylum so that Nandu can meet her. In his delusions, Nandu decides that she is his evil stepmother. Nandu, who killed his stepmother when he was twelve, decides that he must kill Tejaswini to protect Vijay.Nandu escapes from the asylum and begins to look for Tejaswini. In the process, he encounters drugs and kills other people under their influence. The rest of the movie deals with the encounters between Nandu and Vijay.

Nandha is a movie about a young man from a juvenile jail coming back to a society and his family he had left many years ago. It is about a battle of love and life this once upon a misfit tries to fight to fit into the usual social circus, a fight to earn his mother's love and a fight to live the second chance he has given himself. Surya who plays the key role is sent to a rehabilitation center for murdering his father as a boy. He returns home to a mother, who is deaf and mute, and a sister who are still in a state of shock after what has happened to their family.He decides to get a new life by trying to give himself a college education. Having the record of being an ex-convict he finds it difficult to get a seat in a college. He meets Raj Kiran a disciplinarian, a college principal who runs his college with an iron hand. Raj Kiran develops a soft corner for Surya and guides him like his own son. Laila, a Tamil exile from SriLanka meets Surya and both fall in love. Seeing Laila without a smile and make-up is quite different and sometimes depressing too. Meanwhile the villain Saravanan asks Raj Kiran who also helps Sri Lankan students in his college a lot to aid an anti-social element, but Raj Kiran refuses outright.But Raj Kiran's son-in-law agrees to help Saravanan. Meanwhile Raj Kiran falls sick and gets admitted in the hospital, Surya stays around to look after Raj Kiran his mentor and guide. Fearing what he has done might be out in the light, the son-in-law pulls out the oxygen tube of Raj Kiran in the hospital when Surya is not around and blames Surya for murdering his father-in-law. Surya having to deal with the pain of losing the only man, who gave him a second chance to live, also struggles the fray of being of being convicted of murder once again chooses to kill Raj Kiran's Son-in-law in the court campus. The case is dismissed due to the lack of evidence. Finally he is acquitted, as there are no eyewitnesses to the murder.Surya has aptly displayed his yearning to be loved by his mother. Scenes where he asks his mother to feed him are quite moving. After being acquitted for Raj Kiran son-in-law's murder he returns home. His paranoid mother who still believes that her son still has murder instincts waits at home to feed a meal, which she has poisoned herself. He finds out that the food is poisoned when he eats it, but continues to do so with a satisfaction that he is being fed by his mother. He dies in his mother's lap and when his sister and Laila come out to see what has happened, they realise that both mother and son are dead.

Madhavan(Satyaraj) has earned the title 'Military' owing to his strictness when it comes to his five younger sisters. Any of the youth who as much as lay their eyes on them get a taste of his anger.
Lakshmi(Rambha), Madhavan's aunt's daughter, is in love with him while her brother(Livingston) is in love with the second of Madhavan's sisters. Due to her own actions, Madhavan is forced to get his first sister married to a widowed professor('Nizhalgal' Ravi). But this alienates the other sisters from Madhavan and his second sister gets married against his wishes.

But it is too late as by then enmity has arisen between their families. How they resolve the issue works up the rest of the story.Aditya and Ganga are two youngsters who have moved to Chennai from the same small village. Their parents meet and arrange for them to be married to each other. Aditya?s life is young, urban and exciting - with girls, parties, bikes, songs, cars, discos, movies and, infrequently, studying. He is not very enthused about the idea of being married to a village belle.Ganga, who has just ranked second in the Class XII examinations and has been admitted to an engineering college, wants to continue her education, and is equally disinterested in the idea of marriage. After a series of unsuccessful attempts to break off their engagement, both Aditya and Ganga reconcile to their marriage, but a misunderstanding on the day of their wedding turns into a fight between their families. The wedding is called off, and a feud has begun.Back in Chennai, Aditya and Ganga return to their respective lives, but continue to bump into each other, and find that they are indeed attracted to each other. Love blossoms, and the pair now turn their efforts towards convincing their respective families to set aside their differences and allowing the lovers to be joined in marriage. This is finally achieved, but not without a series of intricate twists, turns and related hilarity.
