Vikram’s performance as a ventriloquist has been comically done.Nassar has outdone the performance as a father. The Jim Carrey (or is it Charlie Chaplin?) takeoff by Vikram and the comedy track with Vadivelu is a revelation from the usual loud comedies we see these days.
There is a very interesting twist in the tale that leaves the audience shocked. The climax is unlike the usual family dramas and is a welcome relief. In an industry where happy endings are always a part and parcel of cinemas, in King there couldn’t have been a better moment to end the film with the father and son’s departure as Sneha waits with eternal hope which leaves the audience awestruck.
Sneha as Tamizh, the innocent girl, Janakraj as the grandfather and the little children steal the show. On the whole the movie is a good family entertainer.
