Mani Rathnam’s magnum-opus bilingual (Hindi & Tamil) film Raavan, which stars Vikram, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Govinda and Karthick is the much-anticipated movie of the year.
Titled as Raavan in Hindi and Ravanan in Tamil, the movie is supposed to be modern take on the epic `Ramayana`. Recently the crew shot an extremely risky action scene for the film.
Sources say, the director wanted stunt director Sham Kaushal to shoot an action sequence in which a petrol bomb was being used. The scene was being shot with Vikram and Aishwarya Rai. As it sounds difficult, execution of the particular scene was also equally difficult, as the director wanted the bomb to go off in mid-air, just a few feet away from Vikram. The bomb was to blast just seconds before it hit the ground and the actors has to be in that single frame..
As everything was planned perfectly before executing the particular scene, the scene had been shot perfectly well.Once the risky scene was over, the director was happy and congratulated the team for the effort they had shown..
