The Dirty Picture an upcoming Hindi film on the life of Southern siren Silk Smitha, is directed by Milan Luthria ..The film stars Vidya Balan, naseerudin Shah, Emraan hasmi, Tishaar Kapoor in prominent roles..Music is scored by Vishal-Sekhar..According to sources, renowned singer Bappi Lahiri sang a rendition Ooh La La.
for the film.. Sources say, this is partly because director Milan Luthria and music directors Vishal-Shekhar were insistent that only Bappida could do justice to the song, set in a typical 80s milieu, like the film itself..And Bappida, who previously sang the Mumbai Nagariya number for Milan’s Taxi Number 9211, is very grateful.
The director was quoted saying, “Now my dream is to bring Vidya, Naseer and Bappida together for a stage show, maybe during the film’s music launch in October.”
